Hello Wickman Families,

We have lots of exciting updates to share as we head into September!

Labor Day Weekend:
In honor of Labor Day, school will be closed on Monday, September 1st. We wish all of our families a restful and delightful three-day weekend together.
Picture Day is Friday, September 5th.
All students will be taking both individual and class photos. Parents will be able to view and purchase pictures online using a special code that will be sent home—so keep an eye out!

PTO Membership Drive:
Hooray for all the families who have already joined! Your membership makes a huge difference by funding field trips, assemblies, and programs like AR and IXL. Our goal is to continue to raise enough to give $25 per student toward field trips this year! Plus, membership comes with some fun perks like your child’s chance to join in on Splash the Staff, where students get to throw water balloons at their teachers (I can confirm from last year that a change of clothes is highly recommended!).
Odyssey of the Mind:
Don’t miss our Wickman-specific informational meeting! This program sparks creativity and problem-solving, encouraging students to think big and outside the box. After all, popsicles were invented by a 9-year-old. Maybe the next great invention will come from one of our very own Wickman kids!
Musical Theater:
Lights, Camera, Action! All interested in auditioning for our School Musical are encouraged to attend our mandatory information meeting on 9/10/25 in our MPR from 2:30-3:30PM.
We’re looking forward to another month of learning, laughter, and community. Thank you, as always, for your support and partnership!

With appreciation,
Emily Lao

Volunteer Guidelines and Instructions

Administrative Regulation 1240 and Board Policy 1240 require all volunteers who serve for 10 days or more per month to be cleared through the division of human resources. These requirements are in place to further maintain a safe environment. Clearance will include TB screening, criminal background checks and additional training.
We love our volunteers and welcome you on campus. We'll provide you with the necessary information to be cleared through HR if you are scheduled to be on campus 10 days or more.

We Love our Parent Support! Thank You!

Wickman's Dress Code
This is a friendly reminder that our school dress code helps ensure all students are dressed appropriately for learning and play. Please take a moment to review the attached dress code guidelines so we can continue to keep our school a safe and respectful place for everyone.
Thank you for your support!
